Description of the Modification
-------------------------------
Well, this is a level that I thought of doing a while ago, when Qtest came
out, but I got busy with Alien Quake, and well just didn't have time or real
interest in it.
This level is sort of Hexen like, and though there aren't many enemies or
skill levels, your gonna love being chased relentlessly by dragons, while
trying to find the portal to get out. This is a beta, and I am going to
do something more with this level, particualary with the way you get out.
It's pretty cool visually too. I am strongly considering doing a partial
conversion type thing along this line, something really sick and evil ;-)
Known bugs
* Sometimes the Dragon flies through walls (depending on texture)
There are no deathmatch starts or coop starts or skill settings yet.
How to Install the Modification
-------------------------------
Create a directory called TRIAD as a subdirectory in your Quake directory
(parallel to the ID1 directory) extract the archive to the TRIAD directory.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT copy the pak0.pak file over the top of your
existing one.
The directory structure should look something like this:
QUAKE (Directory you installed Quake to)
|
|-- ID1 (Original Quake game files)
|
|-- TRIAD (Dragon modification files go here)
To play, type Quake -game triad from the Quake directory.
Then just go to the console and type map triad, and you'll be facing
Quakes mightiest enemies.
